This tutorial explains how to rehome the coater of the 2Create metal 3D printer if it is misaligned and lost its zero point. For a detailed demonstration, refer to the video tutorial.
Steps to Rehome the Coater
1. Identify the Issue:
- If the coater has moved from its zero point (between the powder and building axis), it will be misaligned, and homing points will not work correctly.
2. Manually Reposition the Coater:
- Manually move the coater back to its original position using the small wheel gauge or by inputting specific values.
3. Ensure Proper Alignment:
- Make sure the coater is correctly positioned between the axes.
4. Rehome the Coater:
- Go to: Settings > Coater > Home Direct
- This will return the coater to its original position.
By following these steps, the coater will be rehomed, and homing points will align correctly.
